MANILA (Feb. 2, 2015) — A magnitude 6.3 earthquake struck Catanduanes province Monday night, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
Phivolcs said the tremor, which was tectonic in origin, struck 21 kilometers northeast of Gigmoto town at 11:13 p.m.
The quake has a depth of 10 kilometers.
Bulusan, Sorsogon felt the tremor at intensity III, said Phivolcs.
No damage has yet been reported, but Phivolcs said damage and aftershocks are expected. - SunStar
