Nueva Vizcaya Dads Urge Public to Attend Public Hearings on Environment Code

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, August 26 (PIA) – Local legislators here are inviting Novo Vizcayanos to attend and listen to the on-going deliberations regarding the proposed environment code.

Vice governor Lambet Galima, Jr. said the proposed environment code of the province will be a measure to address the unregulated utilization of Nueva Vizcaya’s mineral and natural resources.

He said the Committee on Environment Protection and Natural Resources will be holding its regular public hearings every Tuesdays at 11 a.m.

“We are hoping to wrap up the hearings for this proposal by November, in time for the environment awareness month,” Galima said.

He said the Environment and Natural Resources Office (ENRO) earlier conducted a series of public consultations and forums to gather relevant inputs for the proposed environment code.

The environment code is one of the priority focus for legislations In the provincial board in order to regulate the utilization of the province’s natural and mineral resources. - PIA
