June 4, 2014 — A MAGNITUDE 4.9 earthquake hit the province of Davao Oriental around 12:17 p.m. Wednesday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
The tremor was located at 85 kilometers southeast of Governor Generoso town, Phivolcs said.
The quake, which was tectonic in origin, had a depth of 67 kilometers.
Intensity III was felt in Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental while intensity II was felt in General Santos City, South Cotabato.
Phivolcs said there were no damages or expected aftershocks after the tremor. - SunStar
