In the middle of what should normally be a harsh winter, temperatures at the North Pole rose above freezing — nearly 20 degrees Celsius (36 degrees Fahrenheit) above normal for the season.

January 1, 2016 — On Wednesday, Santa’s elves imaginably got a taste of the bizarre weather that the world’s been gripped with over the past few weeks. In the middle of what should normally be a harsh winter, temperatures at the North Pole rose above freezing — nearly 20 degrees Celsius (36 degrees Fahrenheit) above normal for the season.
